Iranian films heading for Cannes Film Market

TEHRAN -- Four Iranian movies and several TV series will be available at the coming edition of the Cannes Film Market.
“Beloved Sky” by Dariush Mehrjuii, “Paris to Paris” by Mohammad Hossein Latifi, “Others” by Abbas Rafei, “Gol Zari” by Fereydun Hassanpur” will all be offered at the market.“Prophet Joseph (S)” by Farajollah Salahshur, “The Ladder of the Sky” by Mohammad Hossein Latifi, “Mokhtarnameh” by Davud Mirbaqeri and “Zero Degree Turn” by Hassan Fathi and several other TV series are available at Cannes.
“We will offer TV series which were produced over the past five years at the international market,” the director of International Media of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Changiz Hassani told the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency.
Three Iranian films will go on screen at this edition of the market and other films will be available at Iran’s stand, Hassani mentioned but did not name the specific films.
The Cannes Film Market (Marché du Film) will be held from May 11 to 22.
The Marché du Film (lit. Film Market) is the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival and is the largest film market in the world. It was created in 1959 and has been held annually since then, simultaneously with the Cannes Festival.
